"Customer Feedback" ""I just wanted to let you know that I took Scooby to Chobham on Thursday. We went over the common for 45minutes and Scooby walked to heel on loose lead the whole way! Thank you both so much for your help last Sunday, it has made a terrific difference" (Scooby, staffie x)
"Thank you for all your patience and hard work with Raj and me. (I think we were quite a challenge!) Raj is definitely much easier to control on the lead now and the recall is also improving. Thank you for being so encouraging and generous with your time when I felt we were making no progress. As you said, the important thing is to be consistent and not give up. I felt your courses were very good value and the locations very suitable." (Raj, Flat coat retriever)
"Thank you for all your hard work and patience. I really appreciate all the extra work you put into helping us and I really feel we've made a huge improvement."
"Thank you so much for all your help! I can't believe how quickly we got Sam walking nicely. When you said we were going into the town centre I thought you must be Joking, but he did fantastically! Thank you for making my life so much easier, I can finally enjoy taking my dog for a walk without having my arm pulled off!" (Sam, Rottweiler)
"Thank you so much for all your help and the extra time you've put into helping us! I never thought we'd see the day where we could enjoy going for a walk! You've been great and it's been so much fun!"
"Thank you for the Urban Dogz group. The lead pulling was solved so much quicker than I expected! Its me who needs training! Thanks for all your hard work and effort!"

There's nothing worse than a dog that pulls on the lead. The walk becomes unpleasant, stressful and a lot of hard work! All you seem to gain from it is a sore arm at the end! Inevitably, your dog doesn't get walked and turns his extra energy to destroying your house!
Lead pulling is amongst the top 3 complained about training problems and you may be sitting here thinking that you've tried everything to solve the problem, so what can we do differently?
At Adolescent Dogs we appreciate that every dog and owner are individuals and will work best with different methods. We adopt a variety of techniques to teach your dog that walking on a slack lead is most rewarding. We don’t use food or toys, we use the walk as a reward for your dog. What’s more, we guarantee results!
We offer a fast and effective 2 week course called Urban Dogz.
The Urban Dogz course is designed to teach your dog to walk on a slack lead with the ultimate distraction of dogs, crowds and traffic. Your dog will also learn how to greet people appropriately without jumping up and will learn when it is acceptable to say hello to other dogs so that you don't get dragged across the road.
The course is run outdoors in the Guildford town centre, because this is where you are going to be having the biggest problems and where the training will be most effective. (Any dog can walk nicely in a training hall!) If we can teach your dog to walk on a loose lead through a busy town centre with the maximum amount of distraction, he will be able to do it anywhere!
Your dog will learn
To walk on a loose lead with varying levels of distractionHow to greet people and dogs appropriatelyManners getting in and out of the carRoadside Manners
The course is also ideal for puppy's as it prevents any lead pulling problems occurring and provides them with much needed socialisation. Your puppy will experience crowds, traffic, stairs, trains, lifts, buggys, bags, loud noises etc. It is important for all puppy's to experience as much of this as possible so that they grow up being able to cope in any environment.
At Adolescent Dogs we believe if you give your dog a job to do, he will be much easier to handle not only on a walk, but also at home. So teaching your dog how to concentrate on you when on the lead will keep his mind active and teach him to respond to you much more reliably. So what are you waiting for?
