PRIVATE DOG TRAINING & BEHAVIOUR

Areas covered: Guildford, Godalming, Woking, Addlestone, Cranleigh, Aldershot, Farnham, Farnborough, Fleet, Camberley, West Byfleet, Basingstoke, Dorking, Alton, Leatherhead, Espom, Hindhead and surrounding areas.

Private lessons are run by our head instructor Jenny Trigg who is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT). The APDT offer pet dog owners a guarantee of quality when looking for a puppy and dog training class in their area.

Every dog and owner will at some time need input with their dogs training. It's likely that you are looking into Private Tuition because your lifestyle doesn't allow you to attend classes or because the problems you are having with your dog are happening at home or out on a walk.

One to one lessons can be booked Monday through to Sunday, daytime or evening and usually last approximately one hour.

Each session or course is tailor made exclusively to each dog and owner based on the individual dog's personality and what you want from your dog. So you can choose to learn from the club syllabus or work on more specific areas that need training.

All of our training methods are kind, fun, highly motivational and effective with all handlers encouraged to 'think' dog!

We will teach you to understand the way in which a dog really thinks and learns in order to achieve a better bond, more control and a dog that is an absolute pleasure to own.

Some dogs and owners just need guidance with their dogs training, whilst others are having more serious problems that take a little more time to solve.

How many lessons will I need? Most dogs require anywhere between 1 to 6 lessons of private lessons depending on the problems and what you would like to achieve with your dog. Some owners only need 1 or 2 lessons to resolve a problem, whilst others may prefer to do more long term work. If booking more than 6 lessons in advance, a 10% discount is available.

Intensive 10 Day Course: Training with us intensively is a popular option for many people as it provides you with fast and longer lasting results. The intensive course consists of 10 one to one lessons, spread over 2 weeks. Since we will be working with your dog every day, there is very little opportunity to make any mistakes and this gives your dog a better grounding to pick up the training very quickly. In contrast to training just once per week, where you practise by yourself between lessons, you are unfortunately going to make mistakes, which will tend to hinder the learning process and create more frustration for you. With intensive training, you will have constant guidance from the instructor, and this tends to speed up the learning process and create a much more reliable dog in the long run. The intensive 10 day course costs £300 and takes place in Ash Vale, Aldershot.

Intensive Recall Course Focusing entirely on teaching your dog to come when called, especially when there are distractions! The intensive recall course runs as a 5 day course, either as 5 days straight, or one lesson per week and costs £150 or £35 per lesson. The course aims to teach your dog to come when called no matter what the distraction and is especially useful for dogs that chase rabbits, won't recall when playing with other dogs and dogs that just won't come back!

Intensive Lead Pulling Course Focusing entirely on teaching your dog to walk on a loose lead, especially when dogs or people are walking past! The intensive lead pulling course runs as a 4 day course, either as 4 days straight, or one lesson per week and costs £120 or £35 per session. The course aims to teach your dog to walk on a loose lead no matter what the distraction and is especially useful if your dog is pulling like a steam train, jumps up at people and pulls towards other dogs or cats.
