The Canine C.S.I course is a very unique course that is not run by anyone else within a 100 mile radius and is designed to give you and your dog something new and different to train together and have some fun along the way! The course is especially good if your dog has lots of energy and is you are keen to teach him some new skills!
All dogs and owners are welcome to join this fun course. No previous training in necessary and all dogs from 12 weeks of age are welcome to join.
The course is ideal if you'd like some ideas for fun exercises to teach at home with your dog. The training will help to harness some of your dogs natural instincts and give him an appropriate outlet for behaviour that quite often manifests itself as: chewing, digging, barking, chasing rabbits, over excitable behaviour and so on.
The course runs for 4 days (2 x one hour lessons once per week) and is limited to just 8 dogs per course. The first 3 days of the course are spent training you and your dog to become a super sleuth. The three training days consist of team building exercises, relationship building exercises, tracking, searching, explosive detection (we don't use real explosives!), drug detection (we don't use real drugs either), and almost every exercise connected to controlling and having lots of fun with your dog. For the final day you'll be working in a team of four (dogs and handlers) and attempting to solve a heinous crime using your canine detective and your powers of observation and problem solving skills to solve the case.
For this course you bring your own dog, leash, food treats, and lots of toys and enthusiasm. No prior training is required, but as your dog will be expected to be socialable around other dogs and team members, no aggression problems please.
The Canine c.s.i course only runs twice per year, so early booking is a must.
Next course date: Saturday 31st October 12.30pm to 2.30pm (4 consecutive Saturdays)
Cost: £160 per dog and handler. £50 for spectators.
Location: Guildford (Easy access from Hogs Back A31 and A3.
